Job Description:

The College of Saint Rose invites applications and nominations for a full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor of Social Work in the School of Mathematics and Sciences to start August 2018.

Responsibilities will include teaching 9 credits per semester of undergraduate courses in Social Work, serving as Director of Field for the BSSW program, engaging in scholarship, attending internal and external events applicable to the College and your academic discipline, academic advising, program assessment, curriculum development, and participation in Department, School, and College committees.


The successful candidate will have MSW from a CSWE-accredited program with NYS Licensure or license eligible, DSW or PhD in Social Work, a minimum of five years of experience in the field of social work, interest in Field as the signature pedagogy, strong commitment to excellence in teaching, record of scholarly work or professional impact in the field of social work, and superior written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with at least two years of higher education teaching experience.
