Accenture Federal Service's Analytics group focuses on predictive analytic solutions that optimize client missions. Individuals in this role are expected to work with clients as a data scientist and problem solver to construct enduring and innovative solutions. We assist clients with the entirety of the data science pipeline, starting with problem definition and opportunity identification and ending with enduring solutions that help drive decision-making and efficiencies. The consultant will work with a variety of clients requiring the ability to understand and adapt to unique client environments. They will drive teams to translate client challenges into the delivery of an analytics solution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work directly with clients to develop analytic questions and define data and technology opportunities

  • Transform and combine data sets (structured, semi structured, unstructured) for exploration and modeling

  • Work with large and complex data sets to solve difficult and non-routine problems

  • Application of a variety of statistical methods/approaches to develop analytical models


Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Related Field)

  • 1-2 years experience data engineering: extracting data from databases,structuring data tables, joining data sets, transforming unstructured data

  • 1-2 years experience in quantitative analysis and statistical modeling(regression, correlation, clustering, etc.)

  • 1-2 years experience using data transformation tools and languages - SQL, R,Python, Java, etc.

  • 1-2years extracting, aggregating, andstructuring data along different dimensions


  • Advanceddegree in computer science, data science, business analytics or similaranalytics concentration that is business-oriented

  • Experienceworking with federal agencies and clients

  • Big dataexperience - Hive, Spark, Pig, MapReduce

  • Knowledge ofindustry leading analytics and big data technologies, approaches, and tools

  • Experienceworking in fast-paced collaborative environments

  • Strongwritten and oral presentation skills

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
