SMG Paramedic in Albany, New York
Job Title: Paramedic
Reports To: EMS Manager
FLSA Status: Part Time
SUMMARY: Facilitates the highest quality of EMS care and protection for our customers and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assures compliance with State, regional and local laws and policies of EMS department. Checking BLS and ACLS Equipment care prior to each event, assist in inventory and maintenance of all supplies and equipment assigned to the EMS Department. Files reports and documents as required in compliance with NYS DOH Regulations. Works closely with all employees in the EMS department and fulfills all other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises all employees assigned to the EMS Department when assigned as supervisor of events in the absence of the EMS Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with SMG's policies and applicable laws.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Online paramedic with at least 5 years continuous service to an ALS agency serving as an Advanced Life Support Provider.Possess and maintain NYS Certification as a Paramedic, without any disciplinary action taken against them either by New York State or a Regional EMS Organization.Excellent oral and written as well as computer skills also required.
