The State University of New York College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill is an accredited polytechnic college that is primarily baccalaureate and residential. SUNY Cobleskill is one of few institutions in the United States where an undergraduate student may also choose to earn an associate degree. Job Description:

SUNY Cobleskill is partnering with the Qingdao Technical College in a joint academic program in Information Technology to prepare groups of students for eventual transfer to Cobleskill in order to complete a bachelor's degree in Information Technology. Cobleskill faculty teach some courses for four weeks in China in May-June.

Currently, SUNY Cobleskill is seeking a qualified instructor to teach Networking Fundamentals/Computer English to students at the Qingdao Technical College who have completed their first year of study. The duration of the program will be four weeks, with five days per week of classes expected. While only some of the students will transfer to SUNY Cobleskill, all the students require this instruction.


  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field is preferred

  • 3-5 years' experience teaching young adults in an academic setting to prepare for the U.S. higher education system

  • Experience teaching non-native English-speaking students at varying levels of English language proficiency

  • Experience teaching abroad (China experience a plus) and interacting cross-culturally

Additional Information:

  • 1 month salary at $50 per hour ($3,000 minimum)

  • The anticipated start date for this position is late May or early June 2018.

  • Airfare, visa and lodging costs are covered; international health insurance and an in-country daily living stipend is also included.

  • Lodging is located in close proximity to classes and shopping
