AngioDynamics Intern, Supplier Quality in Glens Falls, New York
AngioDynamics provides benefits to patients by being the leader in design, development, manufacturing and marketing of innovative, proprietary, therapeutic devices used by interventionalists and surgeons for the minimally invasive treatment of peripheral vascular disease, tumor therapy and other, non-vascular diseases. Our summer internship program will give interns a project based learning experience that will strive to build your understanding of how a medical device business operates, enhance your skillset and grow your network. This internship will provide practical, professional experience for the college student while contributing to the overall goals of the Regulatory Compliance team. The Supplier Quality Intern will participate in a variety of supplier quality elements including learning and performing incoming inspection, generating and investigating non-conforming components, generating supplier corrective action requests, and assist in addressing supplier initiated changes. The intern will assume a primary role in projects working either independently or as part of a team, as well as perform other activities that will support the over all objectives of the area they are assigned to.Supporting and leading (where applicable) aspects of a major project to update drawing components due to a site transfer.Perform incoming inspections.Use calibrated inspection tools. Generate change orders.Assist in investigations of non-conforming components.Carry out special projects including scanning documentation into Agile (Quality Management System).Work on projects that will help develop analytical, audit, research, testing and validation skills. Attend and participate in department meetings.Develop and maintain documentation and forms. Use Excel, Word, Project Management, or Visio to create correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, graphs, flowcharts, etc. Provide customer service to the department’s internal and external customers.Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory/legal requirements. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education & Experience
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university or college program pursuing a bachelor’s or masters degree in science, technology, engineering, math or related field Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
